Okay. This was all today. I spent maybe an hour on this? And I am so freaking pleased with it you have no idea.

Continuation from "the Date": Launchpad walks Beth back to her hotel; they stop and say goodnight, thanks, had a great time, and so on. He asks when she's going back to Duckburg, she says she has one more meeting in the morning and then she's finished around 10 or so, then suggests they have breakfast, which he readily agrees to. Slight awkward pause as neither one can think of what to say.

Top panel: "Well," she says, "guess this isn't really goodbye yet but it's SO good to see you - You look great!" Then begins the awkward Thing That Happens, which is that she goes in for a hug then decides to throw in a kiss on the cheek, and he either misreads it, or maybe is going for the other cheek or maybe he just decides to go for broke, but in any case, panel two happens. Much to Beth's shock.

I think the rest kinda speaks for itself.

Notes:
-I know it's rough. I will be the first to say, up front, on the off chance you didn't notice, that I am all over the place with the character designs, with proportions, with... EVERYTHING. I'm still struggling with finding a way to consistently draw Launchpad, especially when I'm sketching him repeatedly, and even Beth is off here because of the angles etc that I was doing (plus I have trouble being consistent in profiles). The accomplishment here is in the kissing, which I've been struggling to get to look right for MONTHS now.
-I also love their hands.
-Panel 3 is my favourite, hence the shading.

This isn't actually the end of this AU - this is only like, the first half, really - but this is all I've really got so I'm going to end this now. But the reason this keeps going is because this is a rash decision on the part of one of the two people involved, and that person changes their mind the next day Kinda hoping I can draw some of the second half, too, but if it happens it happens.

And lastly: there is... another pic that comes after this. Initially I was going to put it up at the end of this one, but I changed my mind, because it would change the mood on this considerably. It's, er, it's going up in scraps and I'll put the link here for those who are interested. It's the only pic I've ever drawn that I'll be putting a mature filter on. I've mentioned before that I have a rule about my DWD fics that they are all rated no higher than PG, but this AU unexpectedly went further than that. It was *supposed* to end with this kiss, or at least fade to black, but another pic popped out instead. Just a warning - and there'll be another one on the pic's description, too. Anyway; Beth Webfoot is (c) me and Launchpad is (c) Disney. And kissing duck bills are (c) the devil, obviously, or else they wouldn't be so EVIL HARD to draw
