Description The cynical part in me wonders whether this was a cheap scheme to get more room, but really, it is quite a cool idea to have part of the Imperial War Museum in a disused warship in the middle of the town. Time constraints and, as almost everywhere in Britain, high admission prices prevented me from visiting it, but it is on the list of possible destinations for my next visit. Anyway, you can get a very good look at it and the Tower Bridge at the same time when looking from London Bridge. In fact, this view is so good and so damn obvious at the same time that I expect DA will already be filled with hundreds of pictures just like this. But I didn't check yet, so I'm posting this in the hope that everyone else who took this picture forgot about it.

And in case you missed it, this was of course taken in London, United Kingdom.

Did you know that the towers on the bridge are made of steel, The stone is just decorative and plays no structural part!

Yes, I do. The one Sherlock Holmes movie showed that nicely. It's funny - you think it is an ancient bridge, but really, it is basically an early version of Disneyland.

London is like a dangerous version of Disneyland designed to extract money from tourists!

It's the first I've seen of it, and the Tower Bridge appears to have received a new coat of paint quite recently. When I visited circa 2002, the colors were quite faded.
