This is a long sneak peak of my next childrens book called: Sharks. The link to the book will be posten during, or at the end of September.

So here we have the first page, of, pages, of the book. It may not look like much at first, and some of you even think that this will be a less intelligent version of Jack. And at first, it was almost going to be like that.

When this idea first sparked in my head, it was basically just a bunch of shark species explaining why they aren't monsters, and how important they are to the ocean. But this quickly felt...stupid. It felt too simple, and made me realize that this book will blend in too much with the 'normal' books. It wouldn't stand out like Jack the grey reef shark did.

So then, I decided to make it a bit more mature, and took Finding Nemo as a refrence. People these days are soooo god damn sensitive to 'heavy' stuff in children movies. But I grew up with Finding Nemo, which had a lot of heavy and sad moments, and remains one of Pixars' best movies. I didn't hear or see any children being scarred by this movie. So then I thought, let's give this story the same treatment.

Now I'm not gonna make it dark, but I'm not going to sugercoat it either. It is for a younger audience, but not toddlers. Definitely not kids below 8 years old. This entire story was made to make young people love sharks, quite the contrast to the older generation that grew up with the movie JAWS, and got brainwashed by the media who made it even worse.

Now it's time to start anew To show kids and adults what sharks are really like and how important they are.

I have to say, this was the most difficult story to writte. I had to make sure that the story was engaging, but not dark. And it has many lessons to offer besides the main one.
