Hey hey hey!This here is a character design I did for a game company a bit ago. I found the lines for this in a big pile of art and decided to color it up tonight to take a break from Fersilvae. Colors done in a few hours.
No story or anything with this guy. More or less just a chibi-esque, midget-like fighter-guy.
I just wanted to have fun with it. Hope it shows and I hope ya'll like it!

He oddly remind me Ryu from Breath of Fire III, with that yellow slash on the ground and that strange blue haircut.

How do you go about picking your colours for your work?

It really depends on what I am trying to accomplish. Sometimes I go all analogous with one complimentary, sometimes it is a mixture of both, and sometimes I just start putting lots of random colors I like (in the flats stage) and then tweak things from there so they all work together.
But the after the flats the actual painting techniques will see a lot of variation and ligthing changes that slightly alters everything.
