No, no, no! Don't get me wrong. I'm not against 'choosing your own adventure' in Undertale (as in making the characters out to be whoever you aspire them to be). I'm mean-- think of all the AUs! xD
I've seen Sans' shipped with Sans'. I've seen Papyrus shipped with Sans.
I've seen Sans as the older brother, twin, and younger brother.
I've seen Gaster as the sadistic doctor, sadistic father (like your story xD), the mentor, the strictly Royal scientist, and the beloved 'Dadster'.
I'm all about believing in 'any possible route is posssible'-- that's what Undertale is about.
I'm not saying you're right or wrong. But below are what really makes ME (only me) chose Sans as the older brother (and if you don't agree, that's cool

All of the 'evidence' above is more just a way to support my own opinion. The 'evidence' is all leaning towards interpretation, and mine just so happens to be the lazy-on-the-outside, been-through-hell-for-his-brother-on-the-inside Sans.
I know this doesn't really prove anything, as the game never directly states Sans is the older brother. But at least now you understand where I'm coming from. I don't mean to accidentally offend you (and I know that it's all too easy to say something you don't mean over the internet!).
So if you want me to shut up, then by all means-- tell me. I'm just some a random internet-goer. xD

No I get you, and I can see how you can interpret those lines to mean he's the older brother, but you can just as easily interpret them otherwise, you know? It's mostly annoying to have people coming at me all HIM BEING OLDER IS CANON YOU'RE WRONG PLAY THE GAME!! when it's NOT stated in the game anywhere, just implied in an offhand speculative tweet.

i'd go with Zarla's idea of them being twins, and probs they'd both use aniki out of respect to each other. after all, they do hold each other in high regard.

Probably old news by now, but according to Toby, Sans is the elder brother. He tweeted something about if the game was in Japanese, Papyrus would refer to him as "aniki" which is a respectful honorific for an older sibling.
That being said, they could totally still be twins. Sans is older by a few minutes. x3
