Does anyone else read Papyrus as neurodivergent (meaning autistic, ADHD, dyslexia and the like) in Zarla's comics? Especially with how Gaster always says he's 'stupid' when a lot of neurodivergent people experience this too only because they just think in a different way to others. About the leaves in front of the house - I checked the tree in front of Toriel's house, and it said something like "every time this old tree puts out a leaf, it falls". So definitely something metaphorical and possibly magical going on there. Asgore doesn't even have a tree in front of his house anymore, just an empty space covered with a pile of dead leaves - if the leaves are a symbolic representation of the fallen children, that might explain it (especially considering Asgore's role in their deaths and the guilt he feels.)
