lol, the Octopus sees ALL. o-o *cough* Anyways...
It's not that bad, I mean, an octopus isn't exactly easy to draw. They have no real shape, you just need to look at the way the suction cups and tentacles look, and then you also need to try shading it to have the same texture as the skin....(though it's skin is really weird, I don't expect many people to be able to do that)

Haha
This may not come as a shock to you, but I greatly dislike how this turned out. I can't seem to draw an octopus to save my life. I agree with every point you brought up about it. I knew right away the suction cups would be a pain. I'll need to redo this one day, I am utterly ashamed of it.

Don't be that ashamed of it, you can't expect to get anything perfect right away...

I know, I knooow. I've always been a self defeating person, but I think it makes me better at what I do in the end.

It's good to be critical of your work, but don't expect everything to be perfect, even professional artists are critical of their work. I'm a lot like you though, I always try to fix every little problem I see...

I don't expect it to be perfect, but I do expect it to be better than what it is. Sometimes I do have drawing I am extremely happy with. Yeah, but I eventually have to just suck it up and leave it as is.
