Here's a werewolf study I did. Its my first GOOD attempt at drawing werewolves and I think it came out well. I hope I can get better at them because I know that there is a lot of features in this picture that are wrong proportionally. As stated before its my first time drawing werewolves so cut me some slack. I'm not very good at drawing animals. -_-Plz comment.

This is a very, very good attempt. The arms, hands, feet and fur are great. The practice heads are nicely done too.
My only criticism of the character study is that the ears could be set further back on the head.

Thanks. I agree with you about the ears. The head is what gives me problems, but not as many problems as what the legs gave me.

What's hard for many of my students is moving from figures drawn with mostly linework to 3-D figures with shading details and various poses. It's really great to see how well you're tackling this. And yeah, it's hard. There are many ways to approach drawing characters in poses. The net has plenty of good tutorials on this. If I'm not being lazy, what I find helpful when drawing a figure is to block out the form using a combination of cubes and cylinders. This really helps to get the perspective and foreshortening right, as well as the proportions.

Yeah, I'm better at drawing anime and manga. It allows me to be more creative in my art. I don't like drawing from real life too much, but I do draw from references. Poses are pretty hard for me to accomplish, and thats why most of my characters are in a regular stance.

You can take what you learn from drawing real life and apply it to manga. Manga characters are pretty lifelike so a lot of the same stuff applies.

You might want to check out this pose practice site when you have some free time. Another DA used it to improve her figures drawing skills.

Mine's the opposite... sometimes I try to draw dragons and they turn out looking canine-ish X3 It takes practice to try and get it straight. :3

Yeah, and I'm also trying to make an original transformation for the vampires in my comic called Blood Moon. So far its been REALLY tedious. Trying to come up with an original design these days is hard.
