Description My artwork is truly an extension of myself, or my unique and diverse way of thinking. Since my childhood I was striving to find the perfect way to convey my thoughts. The singer has their vocals. Me, it was art. My art has progressed through the years, from a pen and a pad, into the digital era with grace and style. It is my desire when creating to have my work speaks to those that see it. I want those that are viewing my work to see the struggle between abnormality and normality. My abstract style is designed to heighten the senses, stimulate the intellect, and awaken the dormant soul. Art is more than color and objects. Art through me is expression. A tool used to amplify the voices of ones inner being. Color is a key component in my expression. Whether the piece be dark in nature or bright and vibrant, color is crucial. To see a color pattern is one thing, to visually express that color pattern is another thing. A render is merely an object; it can be graceful, dull, extreme, expressive, sinister, or inviting, depending on the artist’s choice and style of coloration. As I previously stated, art is an expression, an expression of one’s self, their beliefs, convictions, insight, etc. You have to have the vision as well as the dedication, to see your vision become reality. It is my goal as an artist to transfer my vision, my thoughts or my mental imagery, if you will, in to the piece, and to have the viewer feel and visualize my expression.

This is my submission for the NVIDIA "Speak Visual" contest. My first ever DA contest entry period. Done with Cinema 4D and Photoshop CS4. Special thanks to my husband (Sa'id) for help with my essay.
