This is a revamp of the current emoticon
by `hprince329 Within a few months, deviantART will be updating and sorting through the current Emoticon Legend , and this is my version of the current emoticon. I remained quite similar to this version, however the colouring has been improved, along with the black outlines and the facial expression. I don't expect this to actually replace it, but there's no harm in trying.

in my eyes the both emotes are to far emerged. maybe add the both a little bit closer.

Very nice one, But it seems the green one is maybe missing a few bones? I always thought that the way the other got squished was ok, but when it last a little bit longer, as in yours, it just looks a little bit off to me. I love the shading

Ooh, I like this revamp. The extra movement is good, and the color still similar but really good.
Seems to make me think a little more of snuggling though.. But still great!

With additional movement and new coloring it reminded me first of arrioch's 
I am not sure, if it would be better, if mouths would be visible whole time, but I think it is worth to try.
And you could try to put little happier coloring for orange emote. I love your green emote shading, but that orange shading needs something.
And you could also try to switch shading of emotes, so hugger would be orange and hugged green, so coloring would be close to original.

Tried the mouth, and you're right it probably does work better. The orange shading did look a little off, and certainly didn't suit it, fixed it with more contrast and a brighter colour. Also swapped the two emotes around to better suit the original. Thoughts?

It now works better as whole. It is clearly better than current hug emote.
That little head movement doesn't look very smooth, but it is not so big thing. I use fading to smooth little movements like that, but fading also makes filesize bigger, which is not so good thing. You could try to make head movement bigger or try without it.

Hmm, I actually quite like the head movement, but you do make a good point. I'll wait and see what other people say about it.
