Would you say something specific is responsible for the style you have? A major influence? And are you happy about it?

I grew up worshipping Michael Turner and I've (un)consciously been trying to emulate him for a good decade and I'm not necessarily happy about it, as I'd much rather find my own style. I don't think you're older than me and I can't think of anything (tv show, cartoon) that looks like what you do and that might have influenced you. Of course there's always the possibility that this style is all entirely you, in which case I'm even more in awe of your work.

Also do you add things to the drawing as you go along or do you start it with an overall image/scene/story already thought-out? So many things in this drawing make me go "Why?" and seem like there's a whole story behind them. It makes this particular piece very rich, which contrasts with the inconspicuous colouring.

When you colour your drawings, do you purposely colour it different shades of the same colour (for example, you just used different shades of brown) or do you colour it normally and then put some sort of filter on it?

In this case, I did everything in graytones and then I set a layer to "overlay" on top of everything and played around with opacity and saturation until I got a sepia that I liked!

Awesome detail on the shoes! I want to know where I can get a pair like them!
