Yeah... most of that is just the texture of the paper from the scan... I like using some of the "organic" surfaces you get from working with real tools rather than cleaning everything up too much.
One of those happy accidents you don't get working with a tablet, sadly.

I wanted his pale skin to really stand out against the darkness, but maybe the chest is a little too shiny. You're the second person to mention it.

To tell the truth, I really like the way this one came out. Okay, sure... he doesn't really have a hand... it's more of a smear. And the chains for the blades are really, er... marginal. Ahem.
But aside from a few little tweaks here and there, I don't think I'll change this one much. I especially like how the cold light on the face turned out. Did you check out the full-view on the face?
However, I'll probably do another pic of this character at some point soon.
I have about a half-dozen of these kung-fu assassin dudes in my head, each with signature weapons, and I need to do pictures for all of them... Dragon's Tail, Shoe-Collector, Red-Rain, Iron-Wind, and Ghost Hand. I think that's all of them,... unless I think up some more.
