Hahaha really???? I tried yes. I only know one "double crochet" and i can only make big squares. So i just make cellphone pouches and i youtubed how to make a small ribbon. So thats about it. Very basic. My bestfriend makes hats and headbands and bags.

Why don't you ask your friend to teach you some basics like single crochet, increasing and decreasing? If you know these things, you can figure out the rest easily
