I think an air dodge is the best way to avoid this attack. If you're REALLY good, rolling or sidestepping can work too.
Also, am I the only one who thinks that Tabuu is actually that tiny core in his chest?

Maybe. But notice that many of Tabuu's attacks involve producing an object with that round core in them (the shark blade or the golden brackets, for instance), and almost all of them involve some form of energy projection. Therefore, I think that Tabuu is just the core at his center, and everything else is just an energy projection. Moreover, his death animation looks almost like he's overloading, which would kind of make sense if you consider that his body is just energy produced by the core.

Whenever I see this attack, I always think "Look out for that giant Fish Blade!" because it resembles a fish and hurts you like a blade. XD

But the one I think is really odd, is the Golden Brackets. I call that the "wierdest attack of the century".
But I like the Spearhead attack most, it just looks awesome. I get killed frequently, but I still like it.
