No it's not, when I'm trying to buy from there but it can only be shipped within the US, tried to make an account and I can't pick my own country, which is in Europe.

I'm in France and I got mine last year although not from Brookstone. I'm definitely not the only person in Europe that received one.

Unless your country is not in the list, then I understand your reasoning.. but otherwise if it's not one of the over 200 countries & territories that Brookstone can ship to then there's something wrong with what YOU are doing. You should do more research, I found all of that within a few minutes and I already own one/am not trying to purchase another one.
Out of curiosity I actually created an account as well. I just made one less than a minute ago even though I don't even plan on using it anytime soon, and all it asked for was First/Last name, Date of birth (optional), email address (and confirmation), password (and confirmation). It did not ask me which country I am in/from at all, so really I don't see why you didn't end up at the same page as I did.
Again, if you're in a country in which Brookstone doesn't ship to, then I understand the situation but otherwise there's literally no way that you can't get it.

Ahhh this is just so great! Too bad, the price is so high for an eastern europian like me :S. The cost is 60% of my total monthly wage, and I spend 90% of my wage on don't starving to death. Again, a reason why I should leave my shitty country and actualy go to a nice western country where people are actualy treated like humans.
Btw, the design is beautiful! I hope this things go viral, you gain a lot of money from it so people like me might actualy be able to buy em

Are the ears actual speakers that can play music? That would be cool! (As long as I could also turn it off and go into normal headphones mode!)

By what I have seen of this, yes. The ears are designed to play as speakers for your friends and others around you (I'm not very sure if the headphones do too at the same time...) but, it said you can switch back and forth from headphones to yourself, to speakers.
This is just a prototype but I am not sure how far they are in the making now. They will probably make better changes to the model, being they are still in the making.
(I am not in any part of the making of this, this is just based off what i have read on their website. I hope it helped!)
