The fact that it is done by a reference photo is the ONLY THING THAT CONNECTS your work with the referenced one.
I really like the character of the picture, how it carries a line of it's own, be it sadness or some kind of a burden such as "keeping the purity of a virgo" perhaps... e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
In a way I also see this girl's wishes to keep some originality in any shape and kind, such as her will to prevail (the red strife on her cheeks), and the fiery tones are plus to all that.

I really love how you see the picture . "Keeping the purity of a virgo" - great line to interpret this picture, really connects the name and the picture, her sad look and red strife on her cheek
I really love deep comments on my pictures, although maybe the artist must know the best way how to interpret the picture, but I just looove to read how people understands them and sometimes they even gives me deeper meaning and understanding

This is the type of art I love. The way the outline is dark and her skin is pale makes a beautiful contrast with the fiery background. I love how her hair is the thing coloring in the excess flowers. This is just me but I would add a little green to the picture... I dont know why.. it just seems like the perfect color to contrast with. I love her lips, and the glisten you've added to it... I just love it.. I just plainly love this picture.. It's the style of art that I enjoy... This is amazing, you should make it a print so I could buy it <3

Hello! Random act of kindness here! I also feel a strong pull towards this piece of art! My first ever critique... Here Ya Go!

First of all, the roughness of the gouache is very effective in creating a strong sense of surreality, it also brings a whole new level of texture and depth to the whole piece. The expression (for me) brings about a sense of yearning or longing, which brings me to the amazing colour contrast

The red and burnt umber colour stands out beautifully with the white of her skin. I Especially love the detail you've put into the flowers in her hair, it contrasts really well with the blank page behind the drawing, which again brings to mind different ways of perceiving this, for instance, like she could be searching for something, but what she seeks in is depth in her, (shown by the elaborate flowers).

Overall, I seriously love this piece of yours! When I see something awesome...
I gotta critique it!

I'm very very happy that you liked it, and thank you so much for a critique (and a on the piece), I'm very glad when my artworks, give thoughts, ideas to people, make them wonder whether she is sad or longing , think about the story behind the picture, I am most happy then artwork evolves in new ideas in other's heads, I think that's when it's truly served as an art piece

well the name has it's history as well. I attend to a girl student choir named "Virgo". I was asked to do a poster for choir's anniversary and this was the drawing I did and used in that poster. If you are interested hoe the posted looked like --> see here [link]

na prie technikos siek tiek ir photoshopas prisidejo
bet labai dziaugiuos, kad kazkur rusy radau labai seno popieriaus, ant kurio viskas, kad nupiesta atrodo neblogai, nes jau to popieriaus struktura tokia, kad net fono dazyti nereikia

na as pastaruoju metu irgi photoshop'a tik subtiliom korekcijom naudoju, kazkaip nuo digital art vel grizau prie traditional, o kas dar baisiau, kad nuo markeriu perejau prie akvareliniu piestuku...

radau tokio seno popieriaus pas save po lova (net neisivaizduoju is kur, nes pirkt tai tikrai nebuna, gal is kaimo parsiveziau... zodziu proseneliu palikimas )
