It's colored pencils. Had to edit the scanned picture as the colors got distorted.

I found this boss annoying to fight, but he was immersive enough that I didn't care. It actually felt like I was fighting something that was sucking me through the sand, and while he snuck in his arbitrary cheap shots every now and then there was still finesse to fighting him
And his picture was easier to snap than I expected, that was a relief

Yeah, I know he looks older but that's because I wanted to do the boss battles in a less cartoony and more realistic style, and so it's not going to be look like the game design.
