I want to get back into semi realism and made the choice to use mangomarlo's character for the opening on my next attempt.

The coloring looks fine, but your anatomy is very off.
For one, her head is nearly as wide as the width of her shoulders, and her jaw...well, I'm not quite sure how to describe it. But it goes far past the bottom of her ears, where a jaw should naturally end. Or something.
Her neck looks incredibly thin to the point where it probably wouldn't support her head.
Her ear is quite small and is awkwardly placed.
You really should brush up on your anatomy. There's tons of resources online and even here on dA to help you improve.

Ahh you are right! There are so many different areas I knew looked weird I just don't know where to begin sometimes. I have been looking up tutorials and I have a couple of books. Do you have any tutorials in mind?

You can also just study people in general by looking at images on Google or in real life to see how the body works. Or if you're having trouble with a certain body part or object, you can search something like "hand tutorial" for example and you'll find plenty of help. Here and ConceptArt.org are great places to find resources for this sort of thing.
