Webpaw padded around in the endless blackness looking over the edge of the shore watching his clanmates roam untouched. Wildblaze hadn't even announced his death. He should have never become a leader, he wasn't worth it. He was a terrible leader. A cold shilling presence filled him as he looked over to see Sootpaw looking down with pure hatred.

"We've even been banished from Rio." Sootpaw snared to him. "Death is an everyday thing for them now. If I had the choice I'd pick every last one of them off. Everyone who was close to her. I want Dizzypaw to feel my pain."

"Wildblaze - he doesn't deserve to be called Wildstar - should be the first. Then one by one we make them suffer. Drive them into chaos, make them pay." Webpaw growled. "Let's see how they enjoy eternal darkness."

Featherpaw danced gangnam style passed by quietly.Β

Sagepaw was grabbing something out of the freshkill pile. She padded to Featherpaw. "Wanna share?" She asked.

Featherpaw shook her head. "No thanks, it's yours! I think i've got my share earlier." She replied with a smile.

"Oh alright!" She mewed. She took a few bites and then asked. "Wanna go ask our mentors to go hunting or something?"

Stridetail was padding along in a path parallel to where Featherpaw was.Β

Stridetail was alerted by the voice. He let his neck fur lay down. Oh great. He opened his mouth to try and detect who is there with him.

Featherpaw thought there was no other cat around her. She continued wondering about Icepaw.

Stridetail located Featherpaw. He sneaked through the foliage between them and followed Featherpaw a tail-length behind her.Β

Featherpaw yawned. She opened her mouth widely. Accidentally, she choked on a falling leaf. She ran around the small clearing and tripped on a rock.

Stridetail flicked his ear. "Could you become any more dumber." he meowed as he padded closer.

Featherpaw narrowed her eyes as she tries to stand up. "What are you doing here? Watching me choke on a leaf?" She asked.

"The rules say that an apprentice cannot be alone in the wild. What are you doing here?" Stridetail replied with a superior tone. "I came to hunt with a patrol. "

"Technically i'm not alone. Meet my new friend, Choke the loner leaf. Choke, meet Stridetail. Stridetail, meet Choke," Featherpaw pointed her tail to the leaf. "At least i'm really not alone now, You're here," she added.Β The apprentice sneezed, her nose twitched. "I miss Icepaw." She mewed.Β

Stridetail flicked an ear. Is this kit mad, being friends with a leaf? He narrowed his eyes. " 'Shame that I don't."He snorted.

"It's all your fault," Featherpaw flicked her tail. Her ears flattened.
"You never noticed, did you?"

"Noticed what." Stridetail's tail swished on the grassy ground.

"She.. She loved you," Featherpaw frowned. "She always did!" She mewed in a sad tone. She grabbed the leaf she choked on and put it in front of Stridetail. "You never knew because she never told you, right?"

"Seems unlikely. " Stridetail took a step back and narrowed his eyes.Β

Featherpaw took a step forward. "She tried to hide it. She was talking about you just before she died. How she really felt about you, how you'll never love her!" She mewed with rage.

"Sorry to pop your bubble, but I never loved anyone. Let alone annoying me beyond return." Stridetail shot back. He held his ground.

Β Featherpaw narrowed her eyes.Β "I have no gain talking to you. You're still the same heartless cat,"Β she looked away.

Stridetail closed his eyes. "What's the point of love if you're going to lose." He shrugged and went back to camp.

The dusty grey feline sighed softly. It seems like her feelings had gotten in the way of her duties- even her relationships with other clan-mates. The departure of her dearest friend had impacted her in such a way. It crushed her. It has clouded her judgement. She lifted her gaze to the murky skies. Seems fitting to the mood, really. Her large, pale blue eyes are now brimmed with tears. The once bright and buoyant apprentice is there no more. What has become of her? A wreck of a she-cat she used to know? A volatile, bitter, and impulsive clan cat? Pain and hurt isn't what she desired.Β
Why me?- she thought.
Why must it be me? Why must every cat I have cared for leave?
The questions without evident answers hung around her mind. Soon after three winks, she had chosen a path she'd never thought of treading. Becoming a loner. Quite a spontaneousΒ decision- she thought so herself. She didn't ponder the subject it that long. Still, she stuck with her choice. She had seen enough of this.
She gave the figure of a cat walking back to camp a nod goodbye and proceeded to walk away. "Farewell," she whispered as soft as she could.
[ Yeah.. It contradicts with the timeline, but I hope it's okay seeing as the group is now inactive ( which is saddening ). I nearly puked myself reading '2013 me' roleplay. No kidding. Not that I've improved but.. Yeah..
