A versatile magic harnessed through the use of her voice. With song and verse Evie can formulate unique spells of varying purpose, strength, and enchantment. While capable of more spells should she learn them, she has greater mastery over repairing magics and healing, using her voice to soothe what's damaged.

Her magic is powerful as well as abundant, but due to her brittle construction it's difficult to completely prevent her magic from overflowing into her normal voice. Evie mostly whispers or doesn't speak at all, finding other ways to communicate. If her throat and voice are ever damaged her magic becomes unusable.

Her wand is a wind-up key that slots into her back. It sits below the larger piece, a smaller key that lives at her waist.

Evie is a good-natured soul, friendly and cheerful in her interactions. She can come off as clumsy when trying to communicate, but is actually quite perceptive of her surroundings and sensitive to the feelings of others. Under her sociable demeanour she is dynamic in personality, situationally multifaceted -- able to shift from a soldier's hardened outlook to one improbably soft-hearted. Optimistic at her core, she believes wholeheartedly in a better future and struggles with handling disappointment.

She loves to love, and be loved. The world and its inhabitants fascinate and excite her, and she delights in learning new things and meeting new faces. Compassionate and empathetic, she becomes emotionally invested in others easily, and usually without regret. Evie would do most anything to preserve the happiness of her loved ones, only part aware of the selfishness spurring her on -- their health and safety fuels her comfort of heart, despite the altruistic image she portrays. Magic-wise she is a competent spellcaster who treads a line of confidence - she trusts in her abilities but knows her limits. Evangeline Grace Lothaire was a dove anima from a militant family, a knight reassigned to a struggling county border. Fighting against an inevitable early demise, she left behind a treasured gift received long ago: a wind-up bird. Eventually the battered toy awakened as a clockheart bearing the same face and figure, and the same aspirations to do something to better their world. But unlike her previous owner the clockheart Evie soon realised she had a brittle body unsuited to battle, one that needed daily care and maintenance.

Small steps. Living mostly in Mediatertia, she got a brief look into the world of the upper class clockhearts but was bound mostly to a mediocre life, slowly darkening by the day. While learning to maintain her own body she ran a humble healing center, offering her song to those more frail and in need of repair in their community. Evie gained confidence in her magic and slowly rekindled the hopes of her clockwork heart, but while helping maintain neighbourhood health was rewarding it also felt somewhat small and stagnant. Sooner or later she wanted to step out into the wider world where there was still so much to learn, to live and experience.
