Petit Ours / Lil Bear the white ferret

Yawning after a good nap on the couch in my red winter coat.
Finally I never wear it. I bought it for $9.97 ... while at home, looking at me in the mirror. My back looked very strange as if I was a body builder man ...
So I put this coat on my sofa (couch) and ... Oh !!!! Nahum and Petit Ours love it
Oh well in a few minutes there will be THE 100 millionth deviation submitted on DeviantART.
Why it will be not my Petit Ours...

I agree with you about the focus, there is something not perfect. In fact I have focused on the nose. The mouth is profound and big open, that makes the jaw more behind than the nose, so it was out focus. Perhaps if I was less close, I will have had a better focus
I agree with your thought about the composition. I have tried to work on it, for to make it better. But I don't want to cut the whiskers, so I have not a lot of place to play with.

Yes, it will be better. Though the sunlight in the house, it not always easy 
I had the flash for this shot, but directed on the roof and I "flip flop" the front of the flash (inversed flash to avoid direct light on those fragile eyes)

At this time of the year, it is very too cold, to go outside will kill them. Today it is -20 Celsius.
Ferrets are explorers and hunters so when I go outside with them, I need to put them an harness and leash [link] if not, I will lose them. If I was in a big area like a quiet beach, where there is no people, no road, no danger, no place to hide, it will be a great chance for me to take wonderful pictures of them "free". In Europe some specials ferrets are working animals and are trained for to go outside and to come back, not Canadians or US ferrets

Ferrets are very fast, faster than dogs
Usually I know when my ferrets will yawn ... generally it is often when they are waking up ... I think it must to be the same for all ferrets...so prepare yourself and camera while you know they will wake up
