this was a really fun piece to work on .... and funny as well.. cuz it started off as a complete doodle... did the line work and shadow coloring in about two hours and did the rest in about an hr and a half.. so yeah.. total work time.. 3.5 hours.. i'm pretty impressed at what came out as well.. and referenced from AmericanNinjaX's Arisa green lantern used the Drunken Novice's background on XJ9 and slight referencing from [link] as well.... hehhee.. pls holla on what ya'll think....Related content

I really enjoy this piece! The colors, for one, are lovely...I like the way they look together. Then there's her facial expression! [Puts a smile on my face, and a chuckle in my throat] Hahaha! I just love it! One can really tell that you enjoyed working on this.

yeah, and the best part was.. it didn't take long AT ALL... i had excellent time on this piece... i tend to get bored and rush the last part of pieces that stay too long on my desktop(where i keep unfinished works)....

Hahaha, I know the feeling. I used to focus on one piece at a time and that would happen, but I've started working on multiple pieces. It's all based on my mood now, and it really seems to be profiting me more. I'm getting more of what I want, and I'm enjoying myself. I'm glad you made good time, and didn't get bored with your piece. That's always a horrible feeling...>___< Keep up the good work, I want to see you come into your fullest potential. ^___^

I wanna start being able to do that... I just can't give some works time to grow... (mayb cuz i leave them on the desktop.) and i feel they are incomplete...... so once the week margin passes... i feel i gotta hurry to finish..

Hmmm...that can be problematic. I have been like that, at times, myself. I pray you begin to find something that works, so you can fully enjoy what you do. Even if it's still the same system you have going now, I'd like for you to be more satisfied and happy about where you are, art-wise. [And if you are, already, well that is splendid...meh.]

but for the time being i'll just use it to help increase my speed in my works... by the
way.. what brush do you use for your shadows.. i'm trying to incorporate that
style into some of my works.. but i'm having a hard time... (just got lucky with
the halloween piece i just did)

Neh, concerning the brush I use? Neh...Well I use Photoshop Elements and I mainly utilize the 'basic' and 'default' brushes. That's for shadows and everything. I abuse 'multiply' under the filters for layers, as well. [I hope this answer helps...>__<]

just trying to keep it fluid.... my poses seem a lil rigid... trying to get more fluid and natural feel to them.... but i think i failed in that for this piece

well, it seems like a style in the making.. kinda like my style... not there just yet... but growing....i kinda prefer doing cartoon style... bu i think i can do realistic works as well..(may be not digitally.. never tried it...)

Ah realistic is sooo hard to do for me. I can do realistic eyes abnd lips but the rest i find very diffucult to be honest

I have always loved Rogue, this is a nice cartoon style, but I do have to agree with bbfan77 that her legs are a little to big, the lower half should also be a little longer

nah, totally accidental... this piece was initially a doodle, so i'd expect a mistake or two around.. but thanks for pointing it out... sometimes artists fail to see the errors in their works
