Description These two lovely ladies battling to each others deaths are Ayronwyn Bloodcry and Alythera Phoenixshield. The characters belong to my fiancee AyameNiji and are respectively her paladin (Alythera the one in gold) and her death knight (Ayronwyn the one in blue and black).

Some might be a tad confused, but the story that goes along with these two is a long one, and has developed from 3 years worth of roleplaying between many other characters. A bit far fetched for a death knight to have dragon wings and a tail, but really? Who cares... she's awesome. Again its a long story.

However, a part of this long story I am willing to tell is that Ayronwyn isn't your classic death knight. Of course not! Where's the fun in playing a cookie cutter hero class? It just has to be lore-correct to work, am I right?

Ayronwyn and Alythera came from the same person. They are two parts of the same soul. In order to save the life of Nirai Shadowsong, the High Priestess Avallyn Daybreaker and the powerful dragon-warlock Recluse Shattersky brought the conflicted Nirai Shadowsong to the Sunwell in an attempt to seperate the good from the evil inside her that was tearing her apart from the inside. With the Light channeling through the High Priestess to hold Nirai stable, and the shadow magics of Chaois channeled through Recluse, very carefully only draining the evil and tainted parts of Nirai's soul and he encased them in a soul shard.

This soul shard was so tainted that not even Recluse could touch it without the taint wanting to spill out and consume him. So the High Priestess took the soul shard, as the only one who could wield it... in an attempt to purify it with her intense and powerful magics blessed upon her by the Light.

The woman who was Nirai felt like a whole new person... and proudly called herself Alythera. She was reborn. And with a new sense of justice and valor, Alythera, Avallyn, and Recluse set off for the plaguelands so Alythera could test her new found strength in the Light against the undead masses that lingered in the once proud city of Stratholme.

It was in Stratholme that a Bloodletter zombie stole the tainted soul shard from the High Priestess, the corpse swallowing down the tainted crystal as if it were only just a snack. The trio was surrounded by the undead, and while Alythera and Recluse battled valiantly, it was the overwhelming holy energy that came from the High Priestess that saved them. Unleashing a holy nova large enough to completely obliterate two blocks worth of scourge inside the eternally burning city. However, the corpse that consumed the shard that was stolen, got away... and over time, and with the power seeping into the rotted flesh... the corpse gained a mind of it's own, and relished in the power it had gained... and wanted more. This being came to be known as Ayronwyn... and she approached the Lich King in order to gain more powers.

Alythera and Ayronwyn are again, two parts of one whole, and one can not die unless they are both killed at the same time. The closer they are to one another, the stronger the bond between them. Where if Ayronwyn stabbed Alythera with her own runeblade, it wouldn't kill Alythera because Ayronwyn was not stabbed as well... but Ayronwyn could feel the pain she gave to Alythera because of their bond.

It's confusing I know.

Pretty neat though, huh? There's more, but then I'd be writing a novel... and I've already written a lot.

Alythera - Level 80 Blood Elf Paladin, Blackwater Raiders US
Ayronwyn - Level 80 Blood Elf Death Knight, Blackwater Raiders US.

Blood elves and the like belong to Blizzard. I do not make profit off of this stuff... just purely for entertainment.
