Part two of my cold concept art of a self-insert character for the Dragon Prince! By this point, I'd decided that I wanted to be a Startouch elf, for two reasons: one, stylistically, they're the prettiest (in my opinion), and two: I think Aaraavos is hot.

I was unsatisfied with the outfit I did for the initial concept art, and wanted to do something more in line with the detail and colour theory of the show's design. So I played around with it, using a lot of references that I don't have anymore. My basic idea was that, as a servant of Katolis, Nik should be dressed in red. But I also wanted a touch of purple, for his secret elven heritage, that would be "hidden" and covered up by the red (only for the red to be dramatically removed when he escapes Katolis, symbolizing him leaving behind the old self that hid who and what he was.)

I might have to revisit this in the future, because I never really got it to a point that I was super happy with.

I also need to watch season 4 of the Dragon Prince....
