Description Bats are mammals in the order Chiroptera . The forelimbs of all bats are developed as wings, making them the only mammals naturally capable of sustained flight . The word Chiroptera comes from the Greek words cheir "hand" and pteron "wing," as the structure of the open wing is very similar to an outspread human hand with a membrane between the fingers that also stretches between hand and body.

that's so cool, it looks like she's dancing on top of the water! Was it just really shallow?

An alternative title would have been "walking on water".

Beautiful shot, and absolutely striking colors. The wet hem of the skirt deepens the color from orange into bloog red - a fantastic effect; it gives depth and tension. The blues of sky and water are awesome too.

Now if somebody would apply an indian burn to me and demanded criticism, then the only nag I would have is the horizontal line. At this angle, the water would race downhill, and not flow quietly around the feet of this comely "batwoman". I mention this only because I didn't pay much attention to this in the past. It was then pointed out to me that I should. Right they were. I felt embarassed nonetheless. But that's my problem, and not theirs.

I love bats. They belong to the most fascinating creatures in our world. I spent quite a bit of time in bat caves in Asia and Australia. It was fantastic. And then I learnt that many of them carry rabies and viruses that affect your lungs. Funny how science has a way to spoil it all ...

Good luck with your exams. Come to think of it, with your bright mind, you don't have to rely on luck. It only comes down to good or bad days. That's why I wish you'll catch a good day when all this due.

i didnt pay a lot of attention to the horizontal line before because for some reason it was irrelevant to me but now that you mention it , i gave it a try in photoshop and you're right, it looks a lot better ! so thanks for that one
i like bats too, but only from a distance

thank you !

It should read "blood red", of course. I hate it when I don't get a chance to correct my spelling. But once "send" is clicked, there is no turning back ... cruel, really.
