Ack! So I was really inspired yesterday when I was drawing Fresa...and I really liked the idea of creating a female kemonomimi so...here's Marina!~ Nothing about her design is final yet...from her name to her color palette, but I enjoyed drawing her so I'll definitely keep her around~! Hopefully I'll be able to create a little bite of backstory for her too...^^Related content

Hi, I found your drawing through Project Comment!
First of all, your drawing is very cute. I really like that she is half cat, half human. I think the color palette that you used is very good! It is soft and cheerful, and the skirt and blue eyes and parts of her ears contrast the pinks very nicely. The background with the hearts makes it feel like the character has a great and open-minded personality. Also, the details you included are awesome (for example the hem of her skirt, the tights, the blouse, the white you framed her body with…).
Critique-wise I could say that you might want to think about drawing darker shadows in some parts (even though this might also be a style choice since you are definitely aware of how to shade). But, for example, the braids or her arms could have more shading and in some areas the shadows are not that well visible. Another thing is the tail. While I think it has a great overall look it is a little bit stiff. You could add a bit more movement and dynamic to it by shaping it a bit differently. Another minor thing is the teeth. The left tooth seems way smaller than the right one. But maybe that was on purpose?
Anyway, I really like your drawing. You have a lot of talent and didn’t make it easy for me to find stuff you could improve since I think that a lot of these things are style choices. I hope I was able to help and happy drawing!

Kyah!~ Thanks so much for the feedback >U< Looking at her, I could make my shading more noticeable (´～｀ヾ) Made me realize what little shading I gave to the braid and everything that affects it!~ I have a habit of zooming in onto the area I'm working on ;-; That does tend to affect my shading!~ Your feedback made me realize I need to change that habit right away (〃∀〃)ゞ Ooh!~ For the tail, you just gave me a great idea!~ Thank you!~ And argh!~ I'm so frustrated now that you mention the teeth. I swear when I was doing the lineart the teeth were even...ahh the way lineart messes with me (┳Д┳) Hehe, maybe I'll keep the teeth like that!~ Thanks so much for your great feedback again ヾ(≧∇≦)ゞ

You're welcome, I'm glad I could help! Concerning the braid: don't worry, if you check out my "Meet me after Dark" deviation you will see that I hardly shaded her braids too (which then was noticed in a critique). Now I always try to pay more attention to those things
