Personality: Weiss is a young man who is very serious and passionate about his work. He strives to create new and more effective health potions that will help those who are injured. He also tends to focus on his work so much that he becomes oblivious to everything and everyone else. He cares for the health of each villager equally, but feels there is a wall between himself and others due to him being a hybrid and therefore will not get personal with anyone. He tends to think negatively, but tries his best to be optimistic towards others. He views things in a somewhat old fashioned and innocent manner, mostly because of his upbringing. Takes puns, jokes, and sarcastic remarks literally and has almost no sense of humor. Weiss is quite gullible and is a major pushover, often times becoming the victim to outrageous requests. He dislikes anything overly expensive, flashy, and liquor.

History: Weiss grew up in a nice and peaceful church on the outskirts of the village where he had been born. His birth parents feared Weiss would be shunned and ridiculed because of his being an elf by the other villagers and asked the priest of the church to raise him in their stead. The priest was a kindly old man and accepted the task, raising Weiss as his own and teaching him of the world he was born into. The old man taught Weiss the rewards of helping others and the wonders of medical potions in aiding the sick. Although the priest was always kind, Weiss was still able to recognize the differences between himself and his caretaker. Still, he felt thankful towards the old man and loved him as he would have loved his own birth parents. He grew up in a loving and caring environment, sheltered from the prejudice against hybrids that was demonstrated in the nearby village. However, the church began falling on hard times as Weiss reached his twenties and the old man feared he would not be able to care for Weiss for much longer. On the day of his 22nd birthday, Weiss was forced to say goodbye to the old priest. Before passing, the priest told Weiss he had received a letter in the mail inviting him to an island and wanted Weiss to start his own life there. This was the last request the old priest was able to make, and knowing this Weiss was unable to turn him down. After a few weeks Weiss left the church behind where the priest was buried and headed for Lucine Island.

-When he lived in the church, the priest would have a "teatime" where the two would sit and chat, enjoying the tea
-During his free time he likes to go berry picking and collects herbs to use in potion making
-Has an interest in fishing and enjoys eating freshly caught fish
-The aquamarine brooch he wears on his coat was given to him by the priest, he treasures this the most
-Can actually be quite obsessive of his looks, likes to look clean and presentable
