Liam spent his early childhood days with only his father and twin brother, growing up in the quiet and leafy western suburbs of Chiswick, London. Strange as it may sound, it was fortunate that their mother had walked out on them for a richer man when she did. As a toddler, it was difficult at times for Liam to remember what his mother looked like and as time passed the Virji family by, the young boy had all but forgotten the woman who had left. It didn't take long for his Aunt to fly from America to Britain to help support them financially, bringing along her young son whom she hoped would get along with the twins. As it turned out, the three got along swimmingly and spent an adequate amount of time together, from playing by the river banks to hopping about in the nearby parks. It was their cousin who had introduced to Liam what his future hobbies and obsessions would be. The young American had brought a plethora of comic books, video games, and children television shows with him....and among them there was the most intriguing show Liam had ever laid eyes upon. The power rangers is what his cousin called them...the "might morphing power rangers". That's what started the beginning of the end for little Liam: his new obsession.
The three children spent their days peacefully just like that. They would study, play, and have fun in each others company which was a pleasant sight to see for their parents. By the time Liam had turned 17, his father had earned a much more stable and reliable position at his work place. The teenager was hardly bothered by the news of his aunt and cousin moving back to America since things had worked out for their father. Being the optimist that he always had been, Liam knew that the three would meet again soon someday and gave the idea of buying friendship rings of sorts.
Just like the power rangers had their rings to connect them.

On the rare occasions where he actually left his living quarters, he carried himself with a certain degree of pride, earning himself the reputation of being a rather aloof and stuck up individual. Despite this, Augustus was a deeply loyal and earnest angelus who devoted himself completely to protecting the Head Mistress as a soldier, making her safety his ultimate priority. He was willing to do anything in his power to preserve the peace of Angellion and should the day come when that peace was threatened he felt confident in his abilities to help drive the threat away. Although in all honesty, he felt that day would never truly come. Angellion had always been somewhat of a hidden gem and the proud angelus couldn't picture his peaceful home being anything but.

He had been a fool to think that way. When the collapse of Angellion came about, Augustus was in utter shock. The confidence he once had was now obliterated by an unknown force that was ripping the peaceful home from not only him but his fellow inhabitants. He fought hard and to the best of his abilities, but that only brought him so far. It took no time for the mysterious enemies to overpower him and he was lucky enough to lose his right eye instead of his life. He could do nothing but to watch helplessly from the pod he had been stuffed into as Angellion crumbled away along with their beloved Head Mistress. Being one of the pods to crash onto Earth first, the solitary angelus did nothing but observe the human species quietly. Although wounded and low in morale, he was determined to fulfill the Head Mistress's final wish...but doing so was utterly impossible. Every human he found just did not live up to his standards and although he was patient, the picky angelus was beginning to feel a sense of hopelessness.
That is, until a young man residing in London happened to catch his eye a century later.

Encounter:
Liam Virji was the boys name, a human of 17 years who seemed to be living with only his father and older brother. It was his remarkably idiotic behavior that initially attracted Augustus's attention. The young human was much too friendly for his tastes and the way the boy would just blindly trust others caused the angelus to shake his head. Yet, there was something about Liam that did not cause Augustus to turn away like he normally would. He was unsure of the reason, but he could see potential in the young human and it took the angelus two years of monitoring him to finally realize why.
Although Liam would behave questionably at times he was an exceptionally resolute and determined young man, traits that Augustus could not only respect but admire. Oddly enough, Augustus was able to see similarities between the two of them despite their differing personality types. For him, the young human had lived up to much more of his standards than any other he previously came across and he knew it was time. He felt that after over a century of searching he had finally found a suitable human to do the heart exchange with.

Liam's friendly and trusting nature made it easier for Augustus to approach him. When he spoke out to the human, the boy was completely unfazed and instead found the talking bird rather extraordinary. Liam was determined to become friends with such a magical creature and Augustus was determined to turn Liam into a magical boy...it was a win-win situation in the eyes of the angelus. After hearing out Augustus's proposition, Liam was more than willing to help him out. As soon as the heart exchange had been completed, the young human seemed giddy about becoming a super soldier and would go on about 'rangers', much to the angelus's confusion.

A year has passed since their meeting and the two are getting along just fine. The proud and aloof angelus had allowed the optimistically friendly human to become close to him, which gave birth to a strong partnership. Augustus acts as a strict but patient mentor for Liam, while he provides the angelus with a friendship he wasn't able to obtain before on Angellion. Both human and angelus are remarkably loyal to one another and find happiness in each other's company.
With Liam having just recently moved to New York for college with his twin brother, Teagan, the angelus already has his wings full with properly monitoring the young human to make sure he stays on the right path. Not that he minds all that much.
