Description Greetings, persons

Still on my Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch fanart binge. I took my sweet time with this one. Enjoy?

After a highlight scene setting up the twins' backstory, and Tony Stark's (indirect?) role in the death of their parents, we were never treated to a two-on-one confrontation. From Pietro and Wanda's words, childhood memories of death and fear are still raw enough to be a primary driver for their decisions. Yet, that didn't seem to be resolved in any satisfying way. Granted, previous movies have already thoroughly explored that particular character arc for Tony Stark; the organic evolution from a wilfully ignorant dealer in war, to hero for ego's sake, to an avenger, etc. Even if the twins were mistaken on Stark's responsibility for the missiles, still these were powerful enough emotions in the first half of the film. I would really have enjoyed (even the briefest) clash between these three.

love the colours and I agree their should have being a moment between the two. like I get by the time Ultrons plan was reviled they couldn't be picky about whom the allied with. end of the world and all. but still a moment. like in when iron man was looking though the hydra lab.

I think a lot of the problems with the twins was executive in origin. Strange enough seeing [mutants] in the MCU, I'm happy they were at least inspired by their comic counterparts, unlike FOX's Quicksilver who was in DoFP seemingly just to get an adaptation in first (cool scene, though). I get the impression a lot was cut due to creative differences and executive meddling and we were probably going to get more twin backstory (and Vision explanation) before the final cut.

Starktron still bugs me the most above all other things, though. Dem steel lips.
Ghastly.

Ultron was a clumsy affair allround.
Not enough on the twins and their backstory, Hawkeye's tacked on other life out of nowhere, not enough Vision (as you say, no explanation as to who/what he is for the Avengers).
BLEH. I am still pissed off about it. I wanted to love it, like I did Avengers Assemble... but bleh.
