The atmosphere is lovely and kind of melting (the way the shadows are warm and loose). The eyes and lips remind me of Vermeer... the composition is nice too, it looks as though she is moving into the space on her right, but also looking at us, which is interesting. Her expression isn't just one thing either, at first I thought that she looked very cheerful, but fro looking at it longer I see that she looks a little tough as well. Determined. It is like the warmth of the shadows on her face but the harsh outline that that shadow gives to her cheekbone... lovely
