I love that this subtle photo manages to capture the animal as a thoughtful being and not the "monster" its often portrayed as.

Well, she was a pretty decent distance from the fence line, so it was really easy to focus beyond the fence. It was overcast and she was sitting in a little cave structure which made the lighting. I was actually pretty upset because there are 2 other lions behind her but it was too dark to get them and her XD
