This is the last, I promise!!! Anyway yeah, I felt that for the birthday competition Millerna would give him something meaningful, so yeah how about giving him his wedding ring back? It's a symbol of her takjing him as her husband properly, and maybe it shows that she thinks he has become a man who is worthy of her. I'm not completely statisfied, there's a degree of ambience missing but I just couldn't get it right, so hopefully this'll do. Anyway, enjoyRelated content

Go Dryden!!! Dude is one smooth character! You'd think as the man footing the repair bill the size of a kingdom to fix Escaflowne, AND to sweep Millerna off her feet, to the point of getting over Allen, would get more fan luv.

I never saw them as a couple while reading scripts for the series (after Fox's horror but before I got the series on DVD), but after lots of fanfiction, I do now! XD

Well, before I had read a lot of fanfiction and a lot more on the series, I never saw them as a couple. I hadn't seen the full series at that point, just Fox's messed up version, which hardly got into Millie at all, let alone Dryden and their dynamics; so I didn't see them interact at all, nor Dryden's personality. I had never realized that Millie was the only driving force in the M/A relationship and after I saw that she only had a crush on Allen and that Allen didn't return her feelings/actions at all, I began to wonder about M/D.
That has since been remedied.

I agree with you about the Fox "butchering". I think the show would have been far more popular if they had just left it alone and decided not to show it at prime time. They showed the same cut over here in Britain and they showed it 2 and 1/2 times through.
The edit misses so much of the good stuff out.

Yeah, well the ring's really important to the story...at the end of the TV series, Dryden gives Milerna the ring back saying that he doesn't deserve to be her husband and wont come back until he's is deserving. My fanfic has him coming back to stay and they eventually fall in love, she's giving him the ring as a sort of symbol of acceptance. I'm so glad you like it, and thanks so much for your comments even on stuff you don't know about.
