Space opossums in appearance and behavior. The males stand approximately one head taller than a human and are powerfully built and resemble typical mammilian males. The females stand aproximately one head shorter than an average human and are an oddity as they do not resemble a typical mammillian female at first but instead resemble more of a feminine cuntboy or a "loli"due to the lack of visible breasts on their chests. instead the females have a pouch on their lower body where the naval would be. female clothing varies widely depending on cultural preferences of either exposing the pouch or hiding it. most races outside prefer that they hide the pouch.

Bred and later evolved from terran possums captured and kept as housepets, most of their entire race lives aboard massive starships and deep space colonies that have long since been abandoned by their former owners. They are a scavenger race and experts at engineering and juryrigging. Because they are mostly on board starships they are a nomadic, continuously on the move and never as unified as most other races. They arrived in the black nebula system at the same time frame the system arrived in the Lost Galaxy

Each fleet has different customs and standards independent from other fleets and bases within their race. Some prefer to simply keep to themselves and only interact with other races to trade for essential supplies, while others try to help establish trade lanes and sell services. However one tribe, the Templars of Tech, does tend to cause trouble, aggressively attempting to wage war against any nearby government and organization they believe to be abusing technology. That fleet is currently down to a small handful of ships now but strengthens depending on whether or not their opposition really is corrupt.

A description of their technology is difficult as most of everything they use is either juryrigged or obtained from other civilizations and with each tribe using their own preferences. This makes them even less standardized than their new neighbors, the lesbunnians. The technology they developed from their precursors and manufacture for themselves bears a slight resemblance to "martians" from vintage scifi.

Ringworlds built around the central shaft of massive derelict starships, the D'Kanter worldships were the remnants of a space faring civilization. this race was weird in that instead of trying to find the nearest habitable planet when they first began to venture into space, they would instead build artificial habitats to live on in the event they never do. They would repeat this process for many planets they visited. some unknown events happened later on and they eventually died out leaving massive moonsize nature reserves scattered all across the galaxy. with the modified possums, called D'Kanter, being a halfway between pet dogs and nasa chimpanzees to their precursors, they were trained and left to run everything. They would continue the process of finding systems to colonize and either harvest barren worlds for resources or temporarily colonies habitable planets to construct new world ships. these ships serve as homeworlds for the entire race so their safety is of utmost importance above all else.
