TGMD = The Great Mouse Detective

Birdie felt energetic when she was walking through the tall grass, hearing Odo flying along just behind her.
It's been a few days already, since the circus settled on Tillingdown Farm. And Birdie couldn't contian her curiousity anymore.
Today would be the day where she'd catch a few glimpses of the exotic animals, yet she hoped there could be more than just that.
Call it an adventure, if you will.

She reached the end of a grass patch, and when she was pushing a few blades of grass away,
she realised something was blocking the sun that was fully shining that day.
It wasn't a mouse.
The creature didn't notice her just yet, she seemed pondered in thought while staring at the circus in the distance.
Odo, in the mean time, catched up with Birdie. He probably got distracted by something, but seemed to have decided it's more interesting to follow in whatever Birdie was up to.
Birdie let het eyes wander over this mysterious animal (at least she hoped it was an animal!), and digged in her memories to search for a name of this species.
And then she recalled a picture in one of the books that her grandmother has lent her.
A bat. Even when this particular bat shared a few obvious similarities with the picture, such as the wings and grey fur colour,
there were still differences. Like the size of the ears.

Go for it, a tiny voice encouraged her. And so she did.
"Are you a... bat?"
