XD My friend always tells me to try something and the first thing I ask her is "Is is spicy?" and of course she tells me no and once I try it my mouth is on fire. Don't trust friends either sometimes when it comes to spicy food. XDΒ

Lol, this sounds like my fiancΓ©. He loves the spicy stuff, but my tolerance level is nowhere near his(though it's gotten better in the past decade). At least he understands the differences in our taste buds and warns me if something is going to be too spicy for me.Β

I love cuisines where the food is spicy, though! I guess I'm just destined to burn.

Hilarious. Apparently people are never supposed to ask me if something is spicy, because I tend to say it's not when everyone else thinks it is.

When visiting Korea I ordered a beef and noodle soup by pointing at the menu.Β The waiter started laughing.Β When it arrived, the broth was bright red.Β I knew what that meant.Β Screwing up my courage, I dove in.Β It was spicy.Β Oh so spicy.Β But the thin strips of beef and clear round noodles were delicious.Β Nose running and tears streaming down my face, I ate the whole bowl.Β The flavor was worth the discomfort.Β "Good, yes?" the waiter asked as he brought me more paper napkins without my asking.Β I nodded my head, smiled and wiped off my face.Β It was good.Β But I stuck to the blander oxtail soup from then on.

ya....I can't even walk by Korean food carts where I live. The spices are enough to make my eyes water. Same with Indian, (some) Vietnamese and Thai foods. Though I love Thai food since most Thai cooks are very understanding if you say you're vegetarian/vegan, which is really nice for me.

My friend does this all the time! Her ramen is so spicy the broth turns red. And she wonders why I never try her ramen anymore XD

Thai food is just as bad, yeah. I've traveled to Thailand twice >_< Still, it's undeniably delicious even if it's fatal!
