I mean it's personally my favorite Mario game of all time
Hell, all video games on the GAMECUBE are my favorite!
I don't understand why that console wasn't a huge success,
I was sure it was ZE best thing for everyone
Even today I still don't understand

Well, the PS2 was cheaper than most DVD players of the time, and then its game library was pretty competitive on top of that. The Gamecube made Nintendo realize that they needed a new strategy, and then they came up with the Wii and reclaimed their place at the top of the industry.
