Okay, this is one of the WORST titles I've come up with, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'd like to hear them!
Yes, my brain isn't working. But, I think most of you already knew that.I'm also not sure which category this belongs in. So, if anyone has any advice on that, it's well appreciated.
It's funny how I chose the first picture of my recent vacation to be a photomanupulation instead of scenery. I guess I wanted to get rid of that "the desert is a boring yucky uber hot place" assumption that you guys all probably have before dishing out other photos (Artur, I have some "boring desert" pictures for you because it is how the scenery is sometimes lol). Really - yes, the desert does look kind of boring and not as exciting as other biomes/landscapes, but it's still a place teeming with life (yes, that's true) and deserves some recognition for its own unique beauty.
So, on to the picture - NO, I did not make the desert look better than it did. The major point of this photomanipulation was emphasizing the reflection in the sunglasses over my face. I also made my face black and white to hide the blemishes.
In the future, I'll be posting more pictures from the trip I took. This is the first and only photomanipulation I plan to do. I'm STILL catching up on comments and commissions, so please be patient with me. I'm also beginning to prep for school, and that includes studying for SATs in October. So yes.
But, I really wanted to post something from my trip, so this is the first thing. I hope you guys like it. I took it while speeding (no I was not driving) at 70 mph on a desert highway.

Of all the pictures I have in my favorites, I think this is my number one fave. Its simple, yet beautiful and hopeful and mysterious at the same time. Great pic!

Which desert did you end up going to?
If you only changed your face to black and white, then it would still be classified as a picture.

Hmm...I'm...not sure. It was driving up to the forest, so I actually took this picture along the way.
It would? I figured it was "significantly different enough" from a normal picture, so that's why I put it in manipulation. Nowadays, a lot of my "normal photography" is somewhat manipulated (to fix the discoloring), but people still believe it's a picture when I say it is. I couldn't believe that a picture that's part color and part not could be a normal picture; that's why I put it in manipulation...

WOW! 2 PAGES? I've got to stop by to see how many people you watch (or do you watch people who just post a lot?). I remember when you were transferring accounts, but I never remember having 2 pages for devwatches...0_o The most I've ever had was 80 something, but that was when you were uploading so much stuff lol.

As long as the art is interesting or useful on some level I will keep watching their devs...if it gets to depressing or vulgar I simply stop.

Hmm...I believe I have some pictures of me on here, but they're all in scraps (and they've been taken over a long time, so they might not be accurate), so don't bother looking for them....I'm basically Asian, and from what you can see, I have a low nose bridge. XD I also have one of those "side bangs" that goes across my face.

However the use of color in the sunglasses really does seem to help emphasize your point.

gods...no kidding. Our one comfort is that there's always things of interest-- if you look. Desert or taiga.

I like the desert... We drove for hours through New Mexico to get to the Four Corners once. I liked it there X33 I've got a pic of me standing on the corners right up on my desk XD

Oh, one of these days I need a picture of me standing on the four corners! Do they have it marked out and everything, or is it just...dirt? It seems that once you get away from the cities, everything is farmland and...dirt.

Oh no, it's very marked out ^_^ They've got a big platform and everything with it, and on the platform there's a circle with the borderlines ingraved in it until they meet...

Oh, that's pretty cool! I wonder how they calculated the exact spot...I guess it seems to me that the states don't look very "divided" when you travel.
