Wart and Mouser are my picks, but I feel like all the bosses are fun and well designed.

Damn dude, this is great! I think my only criticism (Which is minor, mind you) is that since it's so cluttered and full of stuff everywhere else that the top left corner feels so empty by comparison. XD

That's true. I wasn't sure if it would be too much to just have every area covered, so I left that space free.

Completely agree. It's also amazing to me how well the game's native style fits your own so well. They perfectly mesh tbh.

Glad to see some old school gaming love on here. I always wondered why the game never looked like the others and until I was older I never knew we got this instead of the real sequel.

Thank you! I was trying to get back to my roots, and touch on some games that influenced my own style.

They could totally be long lost brothers. Wart just needs a giant hammer!

Love it!! Definitely brings back memories. When we were growing up my older sister had a SNES and we played the All Stars version of this game. Would love to get a SNES Classic since her cat chewed through the cord and it's unplayable now. On another note, I'm curious about what kind of paper/surface you used for this artwork? It looks pretty sturdy considering the nature of ink and marker.

Ooo, the All-Stars version is really awesome, and it looks fantastic! I still have a copy of that for SNES, too.
It sucks that you cat messed up the cord- could you maybe find a replacement cord for it, or is it just FUBAR?
The paper I was using for this piece is strathmore illustration board, vellum style. It's thicker and can absorb a lot of marker color, so you can layer the markers nicely while still having some texture and grip to the paper.
