No, you're just ignorant, dear. If what you meant with this stamp is that you're weird, eccentric or a cloudcuckoolander, then use those words, will ya? because those terms exist for a reason. If you really believe you're clinically insane, as like when you talk alone (not just talk alone like normal people sometimes do, but when you think you're really talking to another person only you can see) and hear voices in your head and think the world is against you or something, and you really haven't been diagnosed (perhaps because you just don't present those symptoms), then JUST DO SOME RESEARCH AND YOU'LL FIND OUT HAVING A MENTAL ILLNESS IS NOT COOL.

*facepalm*
For all of you dumbasses who keep on saying, "HURDUR LUK AT ME IM TTLY INSANE IMA GO KILL SUM1 LOLOLOLOLOL WAFFULZ PINK SPARKLY DESU ELEFENTS"
SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP.
You are not insane. You are not crazy. You do not belong in a fucking mental asylum.
You are just a lying, bratty attention whore.
I am getting sick of you dipshits claiming you're going to kill someone, or that you have "voices" in your head, or that you're self-diagnosed with ADHD just because you enjoy doing "RANDUM" shit.
As a matter of fact, the "creepy crazy killer" is a stereotype of mentally ill people. Very few of them are like that.
What, are you not satisfied with being a normal, functioning human being? Do you have to be any more announced? Shouldn't your genetic makeup be unique enough and make you stand out? Is none of that enough?
Hell, the fact that you glorify and shape mental illnesses into some figure you can hump the shit out like the motherfucking horny dogs you are is pathetic. You put shame to those who are actually are mentally ill.
If you really were mentally ill, you would not enjoy one bit of it. So that quote "I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it" is FUCKING INVALID.
YOU HEAR THAT, YOU FUCKING PRETEEN TWATS? IT'S AN INVALID QUOTE. INVALID.
There is nothing good about being mentally ill, and there is no good part of it. It's actually rather tragic for both parties. It's not cool it's not edgy, and it's certainly not "kawaii desu".
I hope that you either realize that being "insane" is not funny, or you find a way to castrate yourself so you never have children.

Being a stamp doesn't stop it from causing controversy.
But, hey, this is the internet. Bound to meet a person or two who won't agree.

No, it makes you a poser. Insanity is not being random. When you're actually insane, people start realizing you're a threat to society, not a 13 year old girl who loves Gir

This actually is a (for lack of a better word) interesting subject.
We all know most people who clam to be insane are just people who either want attention or jut want to be special.
But at the same time insanity is not so easy to pin down. The classic horror ax (or knife, chainsaw or shotgun) wielding creepy with a fetish for murder is not the only kind of insanely. In fact may of the people administered in insane asylums aren't like that.
Things like masking you're emotions, clinical depression, extreme paranoia, reckless/impulsive behavior, violent outbursts, hearing voices in your head, irrational fears, and or even a completely alien way of thinking are all things if near enough could qualify as insanity. To same extent we fall suffered some of the following listed.
And as for me my self I commonly asked the question "I am insane." And I can just say I'm not like it's nothing to wonder. I have several of the traits listed above. And most people who are classified as insane consider themselves sane. And because of that it is a real wonder who is sane and who isn't.

minustwoseventhree In reply to Chaser1992 [2013-10-07 21:47:18 +0000 UTC]
Well, actually, "insane" isn't used in a clinical setting anymore. It's a very old concept now, and "insane asylums" don't exist in most areas of the western world - modern psychiatric units are completely different.
The only setting it's actually used in now is law, where it's classed as a mental illness so severe that it impacts people's ability to make rational and informed decisions, and understand the consequence.
So no, neither you nor anyone else is "insane", as it's highly unlikely someone classed as legally insane would be on the internet right now.

Chaser1992 In reply to minustwoseventhree [2013-10-19 05:43:49 +0000 UTC]
Interesting, though I will say that if my not mistake back in the day insane would be anyone didn't think like everyone else did (so anyone with a mental disorder would be labeled insane.) Back then I'd probably be labeled a psychopath. And people with Bipolar Disorder Schizophrenia, or Borderline Personality Disorder would be a little crazy in some way. But of course those are nothing to be bragging about.
I will need to that a look to see if Insane/crazy are still a medical diagnosis.
But when most people say insane they more likely then not they just mean weird.

But even then, "weird" isn't even a thing so really, saying it is pointless and instantly makes you look 12.

Funny, it seems to me that the opposite just might be true that everyone's got a little bit crazy in them. And what really is insanity? And do anything of us really meat up to it.
But then again the to perspectives just might overlapp with one another. Everyone is sane, is another way of saying no one is!

Because you have some sort of medical issue. I take medication for depression and anxiety, for example. "Insanity" is not a legitimate diagnosis.

I have no medical issues other than the ones in my head.
I am told to take medication to calm me down so i don't break someone's arm for the sake of fun, i never take these medications but i am given them for my insanity, saying i don't take meds for my insanity is like saying it does not exist.

VirunVIICrest In reply to RoseNakahara [2013-02-15 22:37:57 +0000 UTC]
Depression can be due to chemical imbalances in the brain, among other things. In a way, it's also "all in your head."
Psychological issues are considered medical, too, you know. ಠ_ಠ
If you really were mentally unstable, you would not be bragging about it. Much less would you be able to function properly enough to access the internet.

Actually, I myself accept my mental disorders, rather, how this person keeps saying it "insanity", so I can openly discuss my issues over the internet, or to a total stranger so the don't have any surprises.
Of course, that tends to make a few people stay away from me, but eh, that just means they aren't worth my time.
That being said, I know there are a lot of people who are trying WAY to hard to be insane, people who leave comments like "why is it that I like the most deranged songs of vocaloid?? C:" or "*insert psychotic laugh here* For some reason this makes me want to kill people for the hell of it!!" of course, some people may truly mean it, but it's hard to believe.
I tend to have urges to do violent things, but that's normal for a human, right??
A lot of the times I act on them, but luckily I've never gone so far as to killing another human, I have, though, killed small bugs and lizards and such just because I had the urge to..... *shrugs* I don't think anyone is insane, really, not even the people locked up in straight jackets. I think restraining a person is what causes them to lose it. I think straight jackets need to go.... lol
I kinda ranted, and rambled.... sorry if I lost track of the original topic hahaha!!

oh wait of course you don't, even on a really bad day i can still use the internet :/ you don't understand insanity very well because you are not insane.

minustwoseventhree In reply to RoseNakahara [2013-10-07 21:52:23 +0000 UTC]
Alright, you realize that you're actually being offensive towards people with mental illnesses, right?
Don't use the word "insane". Just don't. It's a word with a history of stigma and violence, and we really should be past that now.
The word "insane" is not used in a clinical setting at all anymore. Having a mental illness and taking medication for it is not "insanity". That's actually very offensive towards most people suffering with mental health issues.
The only time the label "insane" is used is in a legal setting, where it refers to someone with a mental illness so severe that they can't make rational decisions or judgements. People classed as legally insane are usually treated in high-security mental health facilities, where there wouldn't be a computer never mind the internet.
So no, you're not "insane".
