Okay, so this image is a re-do of a sketch I made a long time ago. This one:

The sketch was done in 2014 (so 4 years ago) and I meant to colour it. And I did. About 3 times. Each time about 2/3 of it done, then I looked at it and absolutely hated the result, so I scrapped it, and started over again. And never liked any version I coloured. So, now I re-did the whole thing.
Also, there were several things wrong with the sketch, starting from the fact that the woman has a gazelle-neck (waaaay too long), and the man's pauldron/shoulder piece is on the wrong shoulder (assuming he's right-handed), including his sword... Just to name a few things I was never too happy with.

And believe it or not, this whole pic is coloured with ONLY 3 base colours: 1 muted dark blue + 1 muted medium purple/violet + 1 muted medium dark green (very little of it at the bottom left corner for the grass). This 3-colour base does not include the skin + hair shades (but those also make a total of only 4 base colours used). The leather and gold thingies don't count as those are always the same colours.
I am slowly getting the hang of greyscale drawing although I must add that no matter what I do, everything does come out quite flat in the end and I have to add several more overlay layers to make things "pop", so to speak.

As always, done on my ClipStudioPaint Pro with my Wacom tablet.
