this is inspired by RuShin, a friend of mine.milk is courtesy of a contest ran by a DN Club I am a member of...
L is Raito's. Of course.
Wou, apologize in advance to all you L fans. L is not exactly my forte. Two of my friends have criticized that his head is too small. I still need to improve my anatomy by miles! I know!.... But I gave it my best!

I love the background! I find L very difficult to draw, so congratulations on a good job. he looks sweet (personality trait. not sugar.) and l-ish. ^____^

That is too adorable. Although, I disagree about his head being too small (I think the problem might actually be that his hair isn't big enough). You captured his character and personality so perfectly, while at the same time you drew him in your own style, which is definatly different from that in Death Note's.

I don't know the character and I don't know the series, but I actually think the head-size looks good. It gives it a style of its own, that's really pretty cute. With the large, bruised-looking eyes, the contrast of smallness/largeness works very nicely and makes him look delicate (but not wimpy, because of the larger body), which is a nice thing to have juxtaposed with the fragility of the balance of the chocolate stack.
Also, I love the colouring and shapes of the wings and the clouds.

So nice to have such a cheery response! I looked through the rest of your gallery... I must say, I am impressed! Your line art is delightful (especially here: [link] - the faces in particular, the girl being my favourite) and your colours are *interesting*. In every picture there is a little detail, or a bunch of little details, that make them worth looking at for longer than otherwise because they have life and suggest story or personality.
So thanks to you, now I have to go and read this "Death Note" and spend even more money on comics and get in to one million pounds debt. THANKS VERY MUCH

Hey, thank you for such spirit-lifting comments! I am having a particularly rough period of days... Im glad you like my art, it makes my day a little better.... and makes me feel like I will get out of this gloom period eventually.

he's probably unhappy that he only got 5 of them left. maybe he will be happier if he got more to eat. he's actually supposed to be smiling. i mean, i meant to make him look like he is anticipating the yumminess of the chocolate cups. but, i fail, i failll.... >_<

by the way, the head is NOT too small for traditional proportions.
i donΒ΄t know how the proportion-rules are for manga/comics, but for traditional art itΒ΄s ok.
lokk at your people around and compare the proportions, i guess this matches.
and the message and feeling behind a pic is more worth than correctness sometimes.

Awww, poor little L, stacking chocolates all alone. XD Oh, and, the head doesn't look that small, really, because it's proportionate to the hands, like it should be. Maybe just bring in his shoulders a little bit or something. *nod nod* Either way, he looks amazingly adorable and I love the wings. XD
