Description
Living up to his name, Egan (which means "little fire"), continues to pop up in state parks throughout the northern states. He is usually seen only in January, but word has it that he's acting very suspicious. Perhaps it's because we've had a mild winter. He has been known for pelting snowballs at people who pass him by. I just love everything about this piece - the coloring, the detail of the pine needles and cones, the trim work on his little hat and sweater, and that soft, diffused light on his wings from the reflection off the snow. This has a wonderfully chilly tone and playful spirit - he's so life-like that I half expect to see him breathing little puffs of steam as he takes aim! Another stunning portrait James - well done!!

LOL! He'll have to take a number behind my son - who *never* passes an opportunity to try and get Mama with a snowball if there's enough on the ground to make one, no matter how small! The little monster's aim has improved since last year, and he's better at dodging me now too!
