This is totally true. And I bet the Gods from every religion would be pissed off at people using them to commit violence against others.

I consider myself to be an athiest, but that by no means makes me a bad person or someone who hates people who are religious. I do know however that some religious people make their religion look bad.
One of my closest friends is christian & though i do love her she can really irritate me.
She has incredibly close minded ideologies, including being against gays, athiests, such as me, and others. Even stating if she was pregnant and knew her baby would grow up to be gay she would disown the child.
She states that humans are the one and only 'supreme beings' of the earth even going as far as to say 'Dinosaurs couldn't have lived millions of years ago because humans weren't there to feed them'.
She constantly makes snide remarks about athiests, stating how theyre going to hell & what not and mentions all the things that happens to 'people like that'. If i were to make even one comment about her religion she would flip and call me prejudice or something along those lines.
I don't know, nor do i feel by your description, that you are like this. I know the majority of christians and other religious people do not act like this, i just felt like i had to mention why sometimes i can be really aggitated by religion.

Then you were lying about reading the Qur'an, the Holy Bible, and the Book of Mormon. The Qur'an is the worst instigator of violence against apostates, but its in all of them... Book of Mormon is probably the best on your list as far as violence towards others goes. The Jahnists, now thats a religion of love... okay its also pathologically insane, but its insane love.

I have read them all, actually. They preach tolerance on some pages, and violence on others.
I chose which lessons I will take, and translate the violence into the time and church which edited it.
And the book of mormon is more insulting of other religions. The Qu'ran states, at least in the translation I have, that there is nothing wrong with Christians as far as the god, but the messiah differs.

then why bother with them at all? The holy texts of the Abrehamic religions are full of attrocities (which flys in the face of this stamps message), so why follow them at all? Either these books are divinely inspired & as such are perfect in there completeness, or they are not divinely inspired, in which case, why should i or anyone else pay any attention to them?

Sorry mate but that excuse doesn't fly. Either the texts are divinely inspired an as such perfect, or they aren't & if they aren't then why bother following them as if they were. Its like when you meet christians who disregard the old testement, becuase they realize that it is incrediblly immoral, yet will still try and tell you that the bible is perfect & moral.
you've made a statement that you've read the bible & other holy texts & i quote " I have yet to find one which says, "We should hate and separate others from us because they are not holy/pure/do not follow the same path as me.""
To which i say
"And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God..." (Deuteronomy 13: 5)
"If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;" (Deuteronomy 13: 6)
"Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people." (Deuteronomy 13:8-9)
"Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword." (Deuteronomy 13:15)
And thats just one book of the christian bible... The Quaran has at least 109 verses that call Muslims to war with nonbelievers, including references from the Hadith. So that puts a whole right now in your concept of religious texts not calling for hatred towards non believer... It not only calls for hatred, it calls for execution of non believers.
I do however apologies for making a liar of your stamp.

"I think I'll chose how and what do believe, thank you every much."
Then you agree that you are significantly more moral then the christian god as rpesented in the bible?
"Now, do I believe in the church? No, not particularly"
Really? Because i'm not at all christian & even i can prove the church demonstrably exists (okay, yes that was an easy cheap shot, my apologies)
"And the Bible is the Church's book, not God's book"
Then how can you be christian? You say you believe in Jesus & God, but the only place Jesus & God exist are in a work of fiction which you apparently don't believe in & pick and choose from like the special order section of a chinese menu.
" I could normally find you conflicting text, but my bible, Qu'ran, and book of mormon happen to be packed away at the moment as we are in the middle of moving."
Trust me when i tell you that the bible says nothing of not hating, or seperating yourself from people who follow a different god: Theres a whole heap of statements that say "Love thy neighbour" but they are all supseded by statements of "unless he not believe as you do, then you should totally kill him."
"Of my stamp? I don't believe you did."
Really? Its pretty clear it did.

I am Christian, I have done some study, I am not so sure that all religions are 'friendly' towards others, but speaking as a Christian, I believe that hate is a negative emotion and God does not want us to hate, He wants us to prove the goodness of His people, by the way we treat others. If we have faith in God, yes, we can tell others about it, but there is a way to go about it & beating them over the head with the Bible is not one of them. God does not force us to follow Him, so we cannot try and do that to others.
As for the three who follow the God of Abraham, in order of the beginning of their following, Judaism, Christianity & Islam, they have their differences but each should respect the other and all should respect all people. But I must say that the Old & New Testaments are not contradictions of each other, they are in harmony. Protestant based beliefs hold to both OT & NT, Catholicism holds to both OT & NT & Mormonism (to me) Leaves a lot to be desired, but they have the right to their beliefs.
I know that Christians and Jews would never agree with Wicca & or Satanism, as to them, God abhors both (I believe Islam does too, I am not sure what they call wicca though). That does not mean that we have the right to judge anyone, nor condemn any one, though we can deffinately disagree with the practice, if it is wrong in Gods eyes. In the case of Satanism all three are against this. None of the three, as far as I Know say that we should destroy and or burn humans.

Wicca is wicca, no matter what religion you see it from.
There is witch craft, which isn't wiccanry, and then there are other neo-pagan religions.
Satanism doesn't really condemn Christianity, it's the yang to yin. The whole There is no light without dark idea.
They go for 'knowledge' rather than the 'faith'.

Wicca is the same, and paganism, in God's eyes.
Satan completely is against God and any who follow Him, he hates humans with a passion and wants to destroy them all. It has nothing to do with yin & yang which is an eastern/oriental concept. Oh, but there was light without dark and neither existed without God, but you are not talking about light and or dark, what tou are talking about is good and evil, a totally different thing.
Knowledge without faith? You mean Satanists I believe? They are deluded souls following the one called the deceiver, a traitor to God & all of His creation, one who is our adversary and wants us all destroyed. Not very intelligent for those who say they like 'knowledge'.

"Traditional" satanism is the worship of oneself, not the devil. Neo-satanists might claim to worship the devil, but satansim in itself is not really devil worship. Or at least the original branch of satanism is, I don't know.
Why it is called "satanism" is beyond me.
As a christian, I do think it's wrong to follow satansim though.

I understand what you are saying & why you are saying it, because of all the different supposed types. But, it it carries that name, then it is of that one, whether the people who follow it, know it, or not. Actually, worship of oneself, is the same thing. I know you might have trouble getting your head around it and I am not criticizing you, it is just that, if something is not of God, then it is false and of the other, no matter how it is disguised. As a Christian, this is what I see and what the Scriptures tell me.
Agreed.

Wiccan is one of the many neo-pagan religions.
That's not what Satan wants to do, if you actually read the bible. He wants the humans to...
It's hard to explain, but Lucifer got kicked out of heaven because he disagreed with God.
If you read the bible completely, it never once says that Satan wants us all destroyed.
To follow him instead of god?
Yes.
To burn and die and fail as a race?
No.

Yeah, wrong in Gods eyes.
He wants us all destroyed, because when God created Humans, He said that we would one day judge angels, that angels would bow to us. Lucifer, who is Satan, was not going to have that! Oh no! He decided to try and destroy us then, he temped Adam & Eve, he is a deceiver, a liar, he hates us, he set himself up against God & believes he should be God.
1 Peter 5:8.
I said destroyed, dead, spiritually dead. Revelation says ALL the dead will be raised, those that follow Satan will go to hell! With him! God won't torture them, Satan will, for failing! God will let him have them, because they chose him & God gives free will. They will live forever, with Satan.
they believe a lie. to fail themselves.

Everyone has free will to believe what they will.
Satanists Cannot be atheists if they belive in the existance of God, so that they are atheists is so much bunkum! Basing their belief on living without God, means though they believe He exists, they reject Him AND they reject His love & forgiveness, they reject Jesus, their Saviour. They CALL themselves Satanists, because they follow Satan. If your take on it is what they told you, then they have done to you what Satan has done to them, twisted their minds from God, and in accepting him, they twist your mind to believe a lie.
Satan knows God exists, he knows God has saved any who will accept Jesus as Saviour, he wants to try and defeat God, but he is already defeated, he knows he is going to hell, and he wants to take as many of us with him as he can, because he hates us! He has ALWAYS hated us. They are wrong! No, only one can be right. And that ONE is God. As, Jesus said, "Get behind me Satan!" Matt.16:23; luke.4;8; Also Rev.12:9.
You can believe as you will, I believe in my Lord Jesus Christ, my saviour, Father, Son & Holy Spirit, John.3:16.
What you believe is your business, kindly do not tell me what I should believe. Whay I have quoted is from the Holy Bible, Satan, who & what he is, is well documented there, also his fate, and the fate of those who follow him, as for Greek gods, same, as for paganism, same.
So, you have professed your belief's & I have professed mine. I accept your choice as yours, you should accept mine as mine.

But I just think your being too judgmental. Who's to say they are wrong? Because that's what your saying in a nut shell. I have satanic friends. They are easy to get along with. And I used atheist, because they focus on knowledge. That's trhe whole point. Therefore, from what I gather, satanists focus on knowledge like atheists do, but do think there is a God.
Plus, who is to say they believe that those bible stories happened like Christians believe in?
Also, you don't need to quote the bible; this is a different religion, and they don't seem to go by the bible word-for-word, therefore there is no need of it.

No, I am professing my faith. What I believe. I believe in God's Word. God say's they are wrong. Your argument is with God's Word. Your friends are your friends, not mine. Whether you get aling with them easily has nothing to do with this. So atheists are the only people who seek knowledge? Sorry, but they are not the only seekers of knowledge, nor who focus on learning. No, it is not. They know there is a God & they reject Him in favour of Satan.
Satan knows they are true, so why shouldn't they? Job.1:6-12; 2:1-7; there is more if you need it, 1.Peter.5:8. It is God's book, He is the Author, NOT Satan!
Oh, but I do. Of course they don't, they only like the parts that Satan wants them to. So for the truth to be told, there is every need of it.
