My new bbys, Sournoise and Shar <3 The first ref sheet I've ever done as well, ahh! FIRST OF ALL they are rooks (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rook_%28… not ravens or crows!!

Their names are a trick, so see if you can work it out and note me if you do! You get a prize if you work it out as well.....

Sournoise: The loud, angry, rambunctious male of the duo. He has shining green eyes and a pouch under his bill, which has a dark tip. He is often rude, and always screeches when he doesn't get his way.

Shar: The more level-headed of the two, a quiet but intelligent female with shining blue eyes. Her bill is a touch darker on the top, and she is never without her feather, that she constantly twirls in the same manner a villain twirls their mustache...

Time Taken: From sketch to completion, a straight 4hrs.
Tools Used: PTSai, DSE Digitizer Tablet.

Tips for Commissions/Gifts:
-I use a Luminosity layer for the eye glow.
-The feathers are all shaded with the same off-black, I just change up the opacity.
-The wing feathers are always darker on the tips, except the primary flights, which are almost solid off-black.
-Shar's feathers are smooth; Sournoise's are raggedy. Notice the cheek feathers.
-The tail is not shaded off-black.
-Their beak styles are different, on purpose.
-Sournoise's crest is actually smaller than Shar's, making his head flatter than hers.
-In case you didn't work it out, Sournoise is on the right of the body, and Shar is on the left.
