This like one of those ink blot things ain't it!
I see a Spider Splicer leaping at someone and ripping his guts out with her hooks.

It seems like a lot of popular 2D photoshop work I've seen, but you masked it instead.
I don't like it too much, but I don't hate it.
Definitely could progress well with this style.
