Mana! I haven't done one of him in colour, so I thought it was about time. I love this picture. Though I must say, I cannot do hair. I was looking forward to doing the hair, too. The glove came out pretty well.Time taken: 7.5 hours
Used: Prismacolor coloured pencils
Listened to: Kagrra (Yume Izuru Chi, Kirameki, Irohanihoheto, Kakashi, Kotodama, Sakura Maichiro Ano Oka De, and Haru Urara singles), and Dir en grey (Gauze album)

Oh wow. This drawing thoushes my heart. God I love Mana so much<3 You really did a great job on his ice blue piercing eyes. His eyes that look as he can see right through you and in to your soul. Mana`s eyes are almost like a curse. It doesn`t matter if you only look at his eyes on a picture or on DVD. Once you have looked at him your life will never be the same. One look at his eyes and it is as he truly owns your soul. He sure have owned mine for many years...

O pretty! I think the hair came out beautifully. I know hair can be a real pain to draw, but you drew Mana's hair very nicely. Idividual strands! Crazy.

Im curious...what size was the paper you did this one?
And is it the same size paper you use for the majority of your work?

Yeah, this is the same size paper. ^^ It's a little smaller than 8.5x11 though. Just sketchbook paper, maybe 7x10 or something?
Usually with my other drawings, I crop the picture when I scan it so that it's not so much empty space. This one just happened to fill up the whole page. =]

Very nicely done. I was refered to you page as an example of how well realistic portraits can be done in prismacolors. So far I only use them to do fantasy images, nothing quite as realistic as this, I save that for my graphite pencils. But, after seeing how realism can be achieved, I think I want to try. Do you have flesh tones and how many do you have? I mean the number per box?

Thanks! I have the 24-pack of Prismacolors, which come with about three or four colours that I can use for fleshtones. There is a peach, a dark yellow, and two browns of different shades. I find that these suffice and have not found the need for any other colours.
