It's the only name in the show that isn't an actual article of clothing. Did you notice how they stopped using it shortly after she was introduced?

Hmmm, possibly, but it's not as specific as the other names (they could have used Thong?) There had to be some reason they kept calling her "Dear Sister" instead.
I figured they came up with it just as a take-off from Panty.

my assumption is that the "dear sister" is just a term of politeness to make them even more opposing to panty and stocking's rude irreverence.

Yeah, I noticed with a lot of Irony that the demon sisters were the proponents of law and order (And the angels' last name is Anarchy).
Frankly, I wasn't too wild about the show until they showed up.
