My nieces.
This is actually one of my favorite photos I've done now, even if my original 'artist comment' says otherwise. I typed that in 2008 and since then I've grown to like this photo more and more. A few people have already commented about what I've said though, so I'll leave it up... just know I do love this photo.
I wasn't going to submit this, but I finally decided to. I don't like the limb cropping (it would look better if my niece's dress was longer) and the... different, coloring (it looks a bit weird to me, but I guess the darkness could add to the eerieness of the graveyard? Maybe.) but I still love how you can't see the end of the path, so you don't know exactly where they're going- and how they are both holding hands (ready to face what's ahead of them?) while one is looking onward and the other is looking back. So, since the parts I liked outweighed the parts I disliked... I decided to add it to my gallery.

It's actually one of my favorite photos now too. I typed out my 'artist comment' almost two years ago exactly and the only thing that bothers me about the photo now is cropping out the one foot... but I like everything else. I decided to leave the comment there though, since a few people have mentioned it in their comments (but I should probably make a new one above it now). I love how she's looking back and her expression too- I think it's one of the reasons this photo is one of my favorites now (one is looking forward and one is looking back at us).

it's hard to understand why you don't like it
I do like it, even if was a casual pic you can find a lot of symbol on it, I love that the girls look kinda contrasting between them

I really like this picture! ^_^ And to be honest I totally didn't even notice her leg was off until I read your Artist's comment. lol. But I love the path's ending being unknown and one looking ahead and one back. Makes you wonder what exactly is going on and what's happened/what they're thinking.

My photography teacher at the time always talked about cropping off legs and arms...so it was the first thing I noticed, lol. I still like it though...and I probably wouldn't have gotten it if I didn't take it at that moment, so I guess it doesn't bother me as much now. I'm glad you like it too-

This has to be one of the best graveyard photographs I have ever seen. The young girls in white, in the most grim of environments. It looks so bright and alive where they are and dark and mysterious in the far back. I love this photo! Thank you so much for sharing!!

It is a lovely photograph! Since you do not like the color would you like me to play with it a bit to make it a little brighter....in the distance that is. I think that's what you were talking about when you mentioned the coloring. Just offering you don't have to take it hehe...have a good one hun!
