Description
Part of my Star Wars series
Edgar was raised withing the Jedi Order. When it came time for him to become a master himself, he found a young Mandalorian child named Duran Dal. As a devout and unwavering follower of the Jedi docterine, Edgar often found problems with his young apprentice's Mandalorian culture. He often criticized it and pushed his apprentice to abandon his ways. This led the young Dural to resent his master and eventually turn his back on the Jedi. It was this action that finally made Edgar realize his failings as a master. From then on Edgar devoted himself to be more understanding of other cultures and try to win back his apprentice. But no matter how much he tried Duran refused to speak with him. So when he learned that the Empress had hired Duran to rescue princess Reyla, Edgar used his position as a Jedi to come along on the mission.
*NOTES*
I wanted a character that represented the majority of Jedi during the prequels, a bit arrogant and unwilling to break from tradition. But because of this his apprentice would grow to resent him and leave the Jedi order. For the lightsaber, I wanted a pike...a lot. I thought a spear-like lightsaber would be really cool visually in combat. I also tried to keep it fairly plain as Edgar is supposed to be a simple man.
Update
added a younger version, altered the robes to be the standard Consular robes, and altered the lightsaber to give him a more "samurai" feel (don't worry, the pike will return with a different character).
