Have sthom candy~AHHHH I'M SO PLEASED THIS IS FINALLY FINISHED, this has been my project since the start of this year sans the months I was in Ukraine and it's completed now! ♥ I'm so proud of this, really.
Everything is hand-made except my undershirt and the leggings (even the shoes were covered by me which you can't see). I don't have a bald cap yet to make the hair properly so for now it's a full wig. (oh, and I need to actually cut out the designs in his cuffs, but didn't get to it since it was about to rain)
But otherwise, done! So my friend and I went out and shot a few pictures of it along with her Vanellope yesterday! And then we did asks for my King Candy blog >> You can find it here

And he spanned a few months since I had to work on him in the little amounts of time I had available.
However, collectively he really only took, oh, a few days, maybe a week.

That is absolutely amazing! I've been thinking of attempting a King Candy cosplay, but the pants are so daunting. How on earth did you do them? They are so perfectly puffy and stripey!

Easiest part actually!
I will see if I can write out a tutorial or something or find some of my pictures, but basically we made a VERY large pair of shorts, a little longer than where you want it to sit on your leg. Then put an elastic band in the top, bunched up the bottoms to sew them (covering them with the gold piece he has around his legs.
BEFORE BUNCHING THEM THOUGH I had gold ribbon that I heat bonded to it for the stripes, best way to do it I think.
We then sewed a pair of leggings to the inside of the legs (any color, they just need to attach to the bottom of the pants), and didn't sew closed the top. Then they are stuffed with cotton which won't fall out the bottom because of the leggings being sewn in, and that's why you leave the top open :3 so it can be removed when washed!!
I also attached a pair of long elastics to the pants like suspenders because believe me they will fall down if you don't xD.

Wow, thanks! That does help a lot! I've done jackets so often that I've just been all, "Jacket and vest will be no problem!" But I've been totally confounded on the pants.
